Parity Action Community Empowerment is a program designed by the Asheville Buncombe Institute for Parity Acheivement
. Three Streams is proud to be the Health Care Partner in the PACE program. Through this program, minorities are encouraged to get health screening especially in the areas of Prostate Cancer, Breast Cancer and Diabetes. ABIPA identified these areas as having significant disparities in health outcomes among African Americans. African American males are almost twice as likely to die from Prostate Cancer as European Americans in Buncombe County.

Three Streams has participated in health screenings since we opened, and we are very motivated to provide these screenings for all populations! From prostate to blood sugar, to blood pressure to cholesterol screening, Three Streams has been very active "getting the word out" about these health interventions.
The PACE program refers minority patients to Three Streams for Diabetes testing as well as general health physicals and for prostate screening and preventive physicals as well.
